Brewer's Kitchen

Brewer's Kitchen is a labor love that has been years in the making. The business was created and put into motion in 2018 and officially opened to the public on June 14th 2019. The Goal of Brewer's Kitchen is to create something the city of Kansas City will be proud of by serving Great Food and Local Craft Beer while surrounded by people who make you feel valued. 


Our owner Chris has been working in the restaurant industry for over a decade and saw an opportunity to create something unique and special to share with the city of Kansas City. He loves when simple things are done exceptionally and burgers has always been one of his guilty pleasures. 


His previous job had him traveling the USA, and while spending a lot of time on the road, he always sought out the local burger joint. Brewer's Kitchen is accumulation of years of restaurant experience and a love for the simple joy of a burger and a beer.

The big things that were important to opening the restaurant were the desire to grind the burgers in house. This ensured we knew what was going into the food we would serve. Next was we only wanted to use brands and ingredients that would make Kansas City proud. So we focused on sourcing locally and found some great vendors and reps along the way. This let us support other entrepreneurs and help support the community we live in and love. We also didn't want to cut any corners in providing our guests with a great meal so we decided to forgo the microwave and freezer that most restaurants rely so heavily on. 

Once the business plan was in place. It was time to find the perfect home for Brewer's Kitchen. After a long stretch of no luck the current home of Brewer's Kitchen was presented to Chris in an off the market deal that was going to be publicly listed the next day. After seeing the space Chris moved forward quickly trying to lock in the deal. 

Meet

The Owner

Chris Riggins started as a host and worked his way through the ranks to an eventual multi-unit leadership role for Outback Steakhouse. He enjoys working in the kitchen and eating / coming up with creative new menu items. When he is off he enjoys spending time with his family and friends as well as visiting breweries and restaurants in Kansas City.
